Available now at Noosa Longboards, Hastings Street, the Vouch Vish is a refined version of the traditional keel-fin fish. It has been continually modified and improved since the mid 90s, beginning when the shaping crew first worked under the Bear Surfboards label. That era sparked a lifelong appreciation for the feeling of pure speed and control from the tail that a true fish can deliver.

There are several styles of the Vish available depending on the rider’s preference. The traditional Lis-style version features a wider tail block and semi-beaked nose, delivering classic straight-line speed and strong drive from long-base, double-foiled keels.

The more versatile everyday version uses a balanced plan shape with even thickness flow throughout, paired with a single-foiled keel fin template. This offers faster direction changes and a slightly more vertical approach, making it an excellent all-round fish and a reliable travel board.

Lastly, the performance-focused Vish takes the classic outline and adds subtle rocker and outline adjustments. A softened flyer behind the fin breaks the rail line for tighter turning, deeper concaves within the vee bottom increase lift and planing speed, and extra entry rocker keeps the nose clear during later drops or more vertical surfing. The fin template is scaled down from the standard single-foil keel to encourage a more responsive, controlled “skatey” feel.
