  • Hi Pete

Nick delivered my new board yesterday, wow, blown away. I think this one is going to be a gem. Really different rails and bottom.

Cannot wait to get it in the water, onshore winds stopped play this morning. Hopefully get wet tomorrow. Let you know how it goes.
    Kind regards and thanks

    Hi Pete
Managed to get a surf in this morning, good conditions for a change.
I was most pleased how the board went, it paddled like a mal (as you said), it goes so fast, first good wave I got, it sat in the pocket really nicely, so much speed, Ithought I had melted the glass on the bottom! I would have liked to spend another couple of hours. This board is going to be a gem. It also turns very easily.
Send you another update when I have had a few more surfs. Many thanks to everyone involved, the board is a head turner and a real goer. Kind regards

  • Hi Pete,
My 9yr old son decided that he wanted to learn to surf and even though we are land locked here in Georgia (We SUP on the lake), we have a bunch of trips planned this spring and summer and hopefully many more after that.

Well I had a couple of business associates mention Noosa a couple of years ago so I thought I would check out your website for a board for myself that I could use when teaching my son.

I ended up just liking the shape of your board better than most and am really looking forward to the first wave I catch with it :-) Thanks

Thought I'd drop you a note to say how much I enjoyed my new Tea Tree Model Mal during a recent visit to the Maldives.

Out of all the boards I've ridden over the last 50 years this yellow beauty is the best.

Thank you to you and Peter plus David and all the others Best regards and good surfing

Short Single Fin (Australian Made - Hand Shaped Off the Blank)
This single fin takes what Tom Wegener has learned from years of shaping finless alaia boards (the fastest boards of all) and mixed it with the beauty and control of a Single Fin.  There is a low edged rail (aggressive rail) in the front half of the board for power turning with your front foot off the bottom.  The tail has a rounder (non aggressive) rail that flows with the fin through top turns and cut backs off the back foot.  This is a very new surfboard design that works really well in small to mid-sized surf.

    Testimonials

“It’s really funny as I have been trying to do a stylish 70’s cut back for years. Tom and I worked on the idea of a single fin that would ride waist to head high waves giving speed and manoeuvrability.  The first day I saw the board I though it was way too thick and wide but Tom insisted I try it out. I surfed a crowded shoulder high Beach break. Because of the added thickness I could take off 5 to 10 meters deeper than other surfers and the effortless speed of the board was unbelievable, no one was game to drop in! The best thing about the single fin is that it held its speed through a cut back! - PETE - Noosa

Awesome fun, best board I have had in years!  -  Jackson Alexander Headlands
