Welcome To Brisbane Boardriders Club

Its been a long time coming… but better late than never!! A few of the Brisbane locals have come together and started a surfing club. The Brisbane Boardriders began in April last year with 7 people. 6 months later the crew has grown to 35 and looks to keep getting bigger. The group is steeped in history. The surf industry has been alive and kicking in Brisbane since 1915 when Duke came to South Bris. Names like Ray Woosley Ken Adler & Joe Larkin are synonymous with surfing history in Brisbane. That history continues today with Woosley Team Riders Bill & Tony Stewart founding members and club patrons of the BrisVegas crew. There are also a number of up and coming shapers who are regulars at the monthly gatherings. Their intimate knowledge of surfboard design has been invaluable for all comers. Each month we meet at to talk surf & surfboards, watch surf and get surfing trips organised. If you’re interested in coming along for a few laughs and a few waves drop us a line at boardriders@noosalongboards.com. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month, check the guestbook for the venue. There are no airs or graces. All comers are welcome ‘cause we’re just in it “for the love of surfing.”
